The Colorful World of Campuestohan Highland Resort
Bacolod’s own version of wonderland.
That is how I described Campuestohan Highland Resort after our visit last February. Although technically it is not in Bacolod City (location is between Talisay and Bacolod), the resort is about 30-45 minutes travel time from the city proper. Most convenient way to reach the place is to hire a taxi, or in our case, we hired a car for a day tour. On our way to the resort, we passed by many fruit farms, ranches with lakes, and lots of houses with chicken houses for gamefowl breeding.
Campuestohan Highland Resort is very famous among locals and tourists so much that it has become a travel destination in Bacolod. Located on top of a mountain, the fresh air and cool breeze of the resort will give you Tagaytay or Baguio feels. There’s even an area where you can see the mountain ranges in the background.
There are many reasons why kids and kids at heart visit this picturesque destination. Here are some of them:
1. Children’s playground
Children will be delighted to see the colorful playgrounds inside the resort’s premises. This particular playground is near the entrance and I think there’s another playground near the pool area.
2. Transformers Statue

11. King Kong
This humongous replica of King Kong which gives out a thundering growl from time to time is actually an interesting type of accommodation in the resort. Inside the giant gorilla is an air-conditioned room recommended for families/groups and can accommodate up to 6 persons.
12. Shark Wave Pool
One of the resort’s newest offering is the huge wave pool. Have fun at this main attraction and take note of the schedule ( 3x a day for about 30 minutes). Imagine enjoying the sea waves while looking at the mountain ranges!
13. Thrilling Rides
